How do we handle your data?

Effective: January 1, 2025  ·  Last updated: May 29, 2026

1 Who is the data controller?

The data controller of the WeightSignal application (bundle ID: com.palandor.slimtracker) is:

Pal Andor
Email: pal.andor71@gmail.com

2 What data do we collect?

The application processes the following data:

  • Account & profile data: your name (or display name), email address, and birth year, which you provide when registering or setting up your profile.
  • Weight & tracking data: body weight measurements and other tracking entries you manually log (with date and optional notes), and the history of these entries.
  • Preferences: goal weight, weight/unit preference, notification settings, and similar in-app settings.
  • Shared data: if you choose to use the sharing feature, the tracking data you decide to share becomes visible to other people via your sharing code (see Section 5).

You provide all of this data voluntarily. Your birth year is used only to confirm that you meet the minimum age requirement and to provide age-appropriate functionality; we do not use it for advertising or profiling.

The application does not collect location data, does not read contacts, and does not access the camera or microphone.

3 How do we use the data?

  • Displaying weight data, calculating charts and trends.
  • Login and session management (authentication).
  • Sending daily reminder notifications (only if you enable them).
  • Sharing weight data with friends (only if you initiate it).

4 Data storage and security

Data is stored on the Supabase cloud platform, which has infrastructure in the EU and the USA and complies with GDPR requirements. Transfers occur over HTTPS/TLS connections. Passwords are stored encrypted (hashed).

5 Sharing & visibility of your data

Your data is not sold and is not shared with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

Sharing via your code: the app includes an optional sharing feature based on a personal sharing code. If you give your code to another person, that person is able to view the tracking data you have shared (such as your logged entries and trends). Sharing is entirely under your control: it only happens if you choose to enable it and hand out your code.

Treat your sharing code like a password. Anyone who knows it can see your shared data. You are responsible for who you give it to, and you can stop sharing or reset access at any time in the app. The developer is not responsible for what people you shared your code with do with that data.

The application depends on the following service provider:

  • Supabase Inc. – database and authentication (acting as data processor on our behalf).

6 Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the data stored about you.
  • Request correction or deletion of your data.
  • Object to the processing of your data.
  • Request data portability (export).

You can submit your requests by email to pal.andor71@gmail.com. You can also delete your account directly within the app using the account deletion feature.

7 Children's data

The application is not directed at persons under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from such users. If we become aware that data from a minor has entered the system, we will delete it immediately.

8 Changes to this policy

We update this privacy policy as needed. We will notify you of changes within the app. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
